      What a fantastic concept! This is the first time I ever heard of such a thing. This orchid nursery not only sells orchids, but also offers the following service: You bring in your orchid after the flower has died and they will rehabilitate it and give it the TLC that it needs. You can then come and pick it up the next season that it is in bloom. Their charges are: 8 nis minimum a month for a maximum of 60 nis for as long as it takes to bloom ( as is my understanding at least). 10 nis a month for a larger plant, also with a maximum fee of 60 nis. I love the concept, and it’s Green to boot. Are there other places adopting this concept?  Drop me a line, if you have heard of this.

       I was pleased to find that in Israel its easy to find beautiful orchids and the prices are overall about what you would pay in the US ( maybe a little more). I am still on the lookout for moss, it really makes a big difference when you add it to the orchid plant. The moss hides the messy rocks and roots and gives it a pretty and clean look as well as providing cool, moisture for the plants. Moss is a single cell organism that is supposed to be very easy to grow and I am still perplexed why I can’t find it here. My only explanation is the heat here??If anyone knows where to get some moss for my orchid, please drop me a line.
